Why it exists
Made for the work, not the demo.
Nord Light keeps the calm, arctic character of the original Nord palette while making it legible on light backgrounds. Accent colors are deliberately darkened, backgrounds use the Snow Storm family, and text remains grounded in Polar Night.
Rather than stopping at one editor, the theme is maintained as a family of native ports. JetBrains, Visual Studio Code, Kitty, Neovim, and Zellij share the same color intent while respecting the capabilities of each platform.
Available ports
One palette, five native homes.
Each port shares the same visual intent while following the conventions of its editor or terminal.
