Why it exists
Made for the work, not the demo.
Viewport Lab checks a responsive layout on the page you already have open. Drag an edge or the corner, or type an exact width and height. Media queries, vw, vh, and window.innerWidth follow the chosen size, and the page keeps its scroll position, text, and focus.
It does not wrap the site in an iframe or pretend to be a phone. The controls are a fixed strip, currently in Italian, and Chrome shows its debugging banner while the extension is attached. Nothing is sent off the machine. Sizes stay between 240 by 180 CSS pixels and the space available in the tab.
